A little history...

From the beginning Vince & I agreed that the Lord was calling me to be at home with our children and to home school. We have been a part of Ekklesia (a ministry in Royston, GA) from its foundation in 2003.  Vince and I have had a calling to intercessory prayer since giving our hearts to the Lord. Over the last several years, the Lord has deepened our knowledge of and conviction for intercession.  Because of this we have given leadership to the prayer ministry of Ekklesia since 2004.

In June of 2005, a ministry team from Ekklesia went to Tanzania, Africa on a short term missions-prayer trip.  It was my first trip out of the country.  Our purpose was to pray over the people of Tanzania walk the land in prayer and to hear the voice of the Lord.  While there the Lord began revealing His heart for ministry in Moshi, Tanzania.

One year after our 2005 visit, Dusty and Marlaina Harper who led the Ekklesia team, moved to Moshi and begin EIT, Ekklesia International, Tanzania.  After two years of living in Moshi, EIT is an official Non-Government Organization (NGO). The work of the Lord is being established and additional help is now needed.  When I got back from Tanzania, my heart was moved with compassion not only for the people but for the missionaries and pastors who serve in the country.  The Lord began to reveal our portion to Tanzania in working alongside Dusty and Marlaina, not only to support the current work, but to help establish a prayer ministry.

Because of this initial trip the Lord began stirring in our hearts to become debt free, so I went back to work in the public school system in Royston, GA teaching Kindergarten.  Vince took the responsibility of home-schooling and consulting with the Office of Financial Aid at Emmanuel College. We were able to pay off our debts and develop the call to move to Africa.

Vince and I visited Moshi again in November 2008 to "see what good works the Lord prepared in advanced for us to do..." (Ephesians 2:10) After much praying, we committed our hearts to partner with the current directors of eitanzania, Dusty and Marlaina. Vince went back in March of 2010, for a personal prayer journey.  After meeting with the EIT board in October of 2010, we are starting the fundraising process.  We've been to several churches and can't wait to visit more!

We are currently raising funds to take the girls to Africa this February before our big move in August.  They have not been to Africa yet and we want them to sense the call of the Lord for themselves as strongly as we do and should help calm any fears or anxiety about moving and leaving friends behind.

Consider the lilies,
 Vicki

Our family is so proud of what you are doing and your strength and initiative to follow after God's calling. We love you and will be praying. It is my heart to visit you in Tanzania at some point! I can't wait to see what God is going to be doing through you!
