Moshi, Tanzania is home to several red light districts where women and children fall prey every day to the sex-trade industry as well as human trafficking. The Binti Project reaches ladies who are ready to leave the streets and be a part of a residential program. (Binti means daughter in Swahili.) Here, they find safety, rest and refuge. It offers that which seems out of reach for women in this industry: a new beginning and a place to call home by providing food, water, shelter, clothing, medical care, discipleship, and job training. It provides these women with the basic necessities of a “normal life” that we so often take for granted, while reminding them of their value as daughters of God.
